Unicorn India invests in Inntot Technologies

MUMBAI: Software defined radio (SDR) startup Inntot Technologies has raised about $0.5 million (Rs 3.3 crore) in its seed round from early-stage venture capital firm Unicorn India Ventures, reports Supraja Srinivasan.
Founded in 2014 by Rajith Nair and Prasanth Thankappan, Inntot develops software solutions to negate the use of specialised hardware chipsets with an aim to reduce the cost of digital radio receivers for OEMs.
Inntot typically charges an upfront licensing fee from OEMs along with a royalty per piece sold of radio with its solution loaded onto it.
“The USP of our solution is that it runs on generic hardware thus making it an affordable solution for the OEMs. We are also exploring the mobile phone segment to use our SDR solution for radio reception,” Rajith Nair, cofounder, Inntot, told ET.
