Man Utd news: Alexis Sanchez angry at Jose Mourinho for Cristiano Ronaldo promise - report
MANCHESTER UNITED star Alexis Sanchez is furious at Jose Mourinho for promising Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo his No 7 shirt, according to big reports in Spain.
Manchester United star Sanchez took the No 7 shirt in January, inheriting the jersey last worn by Memphis Depay.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils are reportedly edging closer to a sensational deal for Real Madrid forward Ronaldo.
It has been claimed Manchester United are in talks with Real over a deal, despite also wanting Gareth Bale.
And Spanish news outlet Don Balon report Sanchez is angry after learning Mourinho has promised Ronaldo the No 7 shirt.
The number is held in high esteem at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo wore it during his six years in the club, with Sir Alex Ferguson giving it to him despite the Portugal star initially wanting the No 28.

It is a shirt also made famous by the likes of George Best, Eric Cantona and David Beckham.
Sanchez has, however, so far been unable to live up to the hype, managing just three United goals last term.
And Don Balon say Mourinho is ready to give it to Ronaldo - if he returns.
Sanchez wanted the number at Barcelona but it was instead worn by Pedro - with the United star having to settle for No 9.
Should Ronaldo return, it could mean Sanchez wearing No 10 instead.

The jersey is currently vacant following Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s move to LA Galaxy in March.
But whether they get a deal for Ronaldo done remains to be seen.
Former Real boss Fabio Capello thinks the player is angling for a United return and Mourinho reunion.
"I think that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to go back to Manchester,” he said last week.
“I think he wants to play for United and be coached by his compatriot Mourinho.”
