A motorcyclist was killed when a private bus hit his vehicle near Ronur Cross in Srinivasapur taluk on Wednesday evening.
Srinivasapur police gave the name of the deceased as Gangaraju (30), a resident of Shettiganahalli in Malur taluk.
A private bus proceeding towards Madanapalle hit the bike which Gangaraju was riding, killing him on the spot. Gangaraju was travelling to his native place from Madanapalle where he had gone on personal work.
The driver left the bus at the accident spot and fled the scene.
