Macaroni and cheese varieties to take over downtown Willoughby

Find out how many varieties of macaroni and cheese you can sample during the Mac & Cheese Crawl among 14 restaurants in downtown Willoughby. It’s from 1 to 5 p.m. June 9.

The Crawl also includes a special drink deal at each establishment. Two ticket options allow you to let your tastebuds guide you to the seven restaurants you’ll be visiting, or you can buy a pricier ticket for all 14 tastes.

The starting point is the Garage Bar, 37825 Vine St., where restaurants, their mac ‘n cheese variations and their drinks will be gathered into Group A and Group B.

If you’re a goat cheese aficionado, for instance, you’ll want to sample the Jalapeno Goat Cheese Mac & Cheese at Barrio, 4061 Erie St. Or if the mysterious flavors of truffles captivate, Nickleby’s Round Bar & Kitchen’s version — with thick applewood bacon, truffle, wild mushrooms and gruyere cheese — might persuade you to buy a Group A ticket.

The drink special at Nickleby’s, 4051 Erie St., is Mimosa Jello shots at $2 each. Special drinks of the day also will be available for a higher price to those not holding tickets.

All restaurants are within walking distance of one another.

Tickets for each group of seven restaurants are $25, while those wish to sample at 14 restaurants will be $45. Make your choices at the Garage Bar, where tickets will be sold starting at 1 p.m.
