Sugarcane department to launch Ayush Hospitals

Sugarcane department is mulling to launch Ayush Hospitals in association with Medical Health department and launch them in 109 cane development societies and 24 co-operative sugar mill societies across the state. “The Yogi government is prresently operating a scheme to provide free medical treatment through Ayush department. Now the Cane department has initiated to connect cane farmers and general public with state-funded public welfare schemes,” Cane Commissioner Sanjay Bhoosreddy said in Lucknow.

Under the plan, cane development societies would provide accommodation and necessary infrastructure for the hospitals, while medical staff comprising physicians and nurses would be deployed by Ayush department. Medical facilities would be provided free of cost to cane growers, employees of cane co-operative societies and local community. Meanwhile, the Cane department has sent a list of 133 cane societies and co-operative sugar mill societies to the state government to implement the innovative scheme.
