BDO files certificate case against dead

To recover the bungling amount, Block Development Officer of Nagar Untari Murli Yadav has filed a certificate case against dead person Suresh Bhuiyan before the certificate officer.  Suresh has died one and half year ago. Four schemes of MGNREGA in Kadhavan Panchayat for dobha construction in the field of Vijay Bhuiyan, construction of Hadahi check dam, construction of road from Bhojpur cremation ground at water fall and construction of dova in the field of Rajkumar Bhuiyan were sanctioned but allegedly the money was withdrawn without any work.

When the matter were exposed, on DDC’s instructions, BDO Murali Yadav filed  FIR against 13 people, including Mukhiya and ex-Mukhiya. In order to recover the amount of the bungling the case  has been filed against 15 people before District Certificate Officer including against dead Suresh Bhuiyan a resident of resident of Bhasbhedwa village for recovery of Rs. 85, 862. Legally the case can not be instituted against a dead person.
