Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of Rajasthan today with Churu recording the hottest place in the state at 48.5 degrees Celsius.
Churu was followed by Bikaner and Sriganganagar which sizzled at 46.5 degrees Celsius while Kota, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Ajmer and Jaipur recorded maximum of 45.7, 45, 44.6, 44 and 42.9 degrees Celsius respectively, according to the Meteorological (MeT) department here.
The state and the weather conditions would remain the same during the next 24 hours, it said.
