Ujjain: AAP leaders protest Charak hospital’s paid lift service


Ujjain: Leaders and workers of local unit of Aam Adami Party (AAP) inspected Charak Hospital and handed over a memorandum on Monday to CMHO Raju Nidariya, to stop charging a fee from patients and their relatives for using the elevator.

AAP’s Lok Sabha incharge Ashutosh Mehar said patients and their family members are forced to use chargeable lift services at the hospital and the employees also misbehaved in case one did not have money to pay for its use. The hospital management charges Rs 20 per person per hour for using the lift and the management autocratically stopped allowing use of the staircase in the hospital.

The members of the party demanded to stop charging Rs 20 per person per hour and allow use of stairs for patients and their family members. Ajay Sharma, Dheershant Tripathi, Hazi Mustaq Ahmed, Jaswant Kundwal, Bhupendra Kamodiya and many workers were present while handing over the memorandum to the CMHO.
