The police on Tuesday arrested a flower vendor who tried to abuse a mentally retarded minor girl in an autorickshaw at Villadom, near here.
Evidence
A Kerala State ELectricity Board (KSEB) lineman, who was doing some repair works on a power line in the area, saw the man trying to abuse the girl in the autorickshaw.
The KSEB employee immediately took a photograph of the incident on his mobile phone.
Tipped the police
He then informed the police along with the photograph.
Based on this, the police officers arrested Ravi, a man from Tamil Nadu, who stays in Villadam, under POCSO Act.
