Vadodara: Three persons were arrested for attacking five constables at Panvad village of Kawant taluka in Chhota Udepur on Monday.
Five police constables were watching the main market of Panvad village to nab Raju Rathwa, who was wanted in a prohibition case registered at Panvad police station. On Monday afternoon, when the cops saw Raju and his brother-in-law Samesh Rathwa, they stopped him. When the cops told him to accompany them to the police station as he is wanted, Samesh grabbed the collar Vimal Rathwa, one of the constables.

When the four other constables tried to intervene, Raju’s father Khimji tried to push one of them away. Raju also allegedly hit Vimal in the chest. The cops soon overpowered and arrested the three of them. A case of criminal intimidation and deterring a public servant from performing his duty was registered against the trio at Panvad police station.
