FOXBORO – Bill Belichick admitted to being confused last season when he’d see Hollister twins, Jacob and Cody, out of uniform. This offseason, the locker room has only become more confusing for players and coaches as twins, Jason and Devin McCourty are now together on the roster.

On Tuesday, a coach finally confused the two – and no, it wasn’t Bill Belichick. While talking with safety Duron Harmon, Jason McCourty confused Patriots cornerback coach Josh Boyer.

“My corners coach, Boyer, started talking to me and Duron today about safeties stuff and realized that I wasn’t Dev,” Jason McCourty said. “Bill? It’ll happen at some point.”

Jason McCourty said he’s been “going with the flow” and “happy” to be on the field with the Patriots this spring. He hasn’t been seen in too many drills, and the reason is unknown,” but he figures to factor into the Patriots secondary at some point this season.

As far as the players and coaches go, the cornerback said that now him and his brother are reunited on the field, the pair continue to confuse everyone around them. At this point, they don’t even correct others when they’re called the wrong name.

“Many people. I guess you can say we’re used to it,” Jason McCourty said. “We’ve been away for the past  nine years, but he answers to both names and so do I.”
