The Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) on Tuesday cracked the whip on those who have not handed over the keys of flats in Thomas Park in Race Course, to it so far.
The TNHB had constructed 422 flats about 30 years ago.
In 2013, the TNHB decided to raze the structures down citing poor condition. Notices were served on occupants. Some of them moved court and obtained a stay.
Even after the case was disposed, 31 houses remained locked and their occupants did not hand over the keys. The TNHB was not getting rent too.
Now the officials have sealed all the 31 houses. They will soon be razed down, officials said.
