Bafana reach COSAFA Cup plate final after crushing Namibia

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana restored some pride on Tuesday by beating Namibia 4-1 and secured their place in the COSAFA Cup plate final.

South Africa, who were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the main competition by Madagascar, were too strong for their northern neighbours and scored three first half goals thanks to Aubrey Modiba (26' penalty) and Lebohang Maboe (28', 41'), while Namibia replied through Deon Hotto in the 39th minute.

The teams entered half-time with Bafana leading 3-1. 

In the second half, Siyanda Xulu added a fourth goal in the 55th minute to ensure a comfortable victory for the hosts.
