“We (Congress and Janata Dal-Secular) will go together in principle for the Lok Sabha polls,” Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara has said.

He told reporters at the Congress party office in Tumakuru on Monday that the seat sharing issue between the two parties will be settled amicably for the Lok Sabha polls and there will be no confusion. At present no decision has been taken.

Mr. Parameshwara also said that former Minister D.K. Shivakumar is a disciplined and loyal soldier of the party and that he is not disappointed and is capable of handling any responsibility given to him by the party.

On June 6, the Cabinet expansion of the coalition government will take place and then the district-in-charge Ministers will be appointed.

Monsoon

Mr. Parameshwara said that the monsoon has started at the right time in the State. Procurement of seeds and fertilizers is being done by the government. They will be distributed to farmers without any delay to carry out agricultural activities. Officers concerned have been directed to ensure smooth distribution.

He reiterated that H.D. Kumaraswamy will be the Chief Minister for the next five years and the coalition will give a stable government.

He said Tumakuru district has given a deputy Chief Minister for the first time to the State. “I will use this opportunity and work for the development of the district,” he added.
