A day after the Jat community threatened to renew their agitation from August 16 if their demands are not fulfilled by the Haryana Government Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Sunday said that Jat reservation issue is in the court and the Government has done its best and passed the Jat Reservation Bill. Manohar Lal while interacting with mediapersons in Rohtak said that the State Government lawyers are pleading the case in the court.

“All parties to the issue should also plead the case through their lawyers. We have to fight together so that we can achieve the desired results”, he added.

The All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) had on Saturday warned the Haryana Government of disrupting the events and rallies of Chief Minister and other BJP ministers from August 16 if their demands are not fulfilled by then.

Reacting to the announcement, Manohar Lal said, “In a democracy, everyone has the right to raise his voice. But no one can obstruct others from having their say. The State Government would maintain law and order at any cost and in every given situation.”

Working according to the law and rules, the government compensated those who suffered during the Jat agitation 2016 within one month. And, jobs have also been given to the dependents of those who lost their lives in the violence that followed. Now, no issue is pending, he added.
