Running back Nick Chubb, the 35th overall pick of the 2018 draft, signed his rookie contract, the Browns announced on June 4.

The Browns have now signed seven of their nine draft picks. Quarterback Baker Mayfield, picked first overall, and cornerback Denzel Ward, the fourth pick in 2018, have yet to sign.

Chubb played in 47 games with 40 starts for the Georgia Bulldogs. He rushed 758 times for 4,769 yards and 44 touchdowns. Chubb caught 31 passes for 361 yards and four touchdowns. He rushed for 100 yards in 24 games.

Chubb and free agent acquisition Carlos Hyde are projected to share the bulk of the work at running back. Duke Johnson can be used as a running back or slot receiver.

Offensive lineman Austin Corbett (second round), defensive lineman Chad Thomas (third round), wide receiver Antonio Callaway (fourth round), linebacker Genard Avery (fifth round), wide receiver Damion Ratley (sixth round) and defensive back Simeon Thomas (sixth round) signed their contracts last month.

The Browns finish up OTAs this week before holding a mandatory three-day minicamp last week.

Unsigned players can participate in OTAs, but cannot practice in training camp. The Browns open training camp in late July.
