Samoa player butchers certain try at London Sevens with forward pass
Samoa left embarrassed by Alamanda Motuga's brain fade that cost them a try at the London Sevens.
Alamanda Motuga simply wanted to pay it forward. Not pass it forward.
The Samoan sevens player butchered a certain try in his team's clash against Spain, on the latest stop of the World Rugby Sevens Series in England.
Motuga had crossed the line and just had to put the ball down. But he decided to slip the ball to one of his team-mates, Danny Tusitala, to give him the honour of scoring instead.
However, because Tusitala was standing in front of him, the try was disallowed for what will go down as one of the more comical forward passes in the history of the London Sevens.

Alamanda Motuga', left, passes the ball forward to team-mate Danny Tusitala, costing his team a try.
The moment of madness didn't come back to haunt the Samoans though, who ran out comfortable 26-10 winners before going on to beat Scotland 34-10 and secure 13th position.
The tournament was won by Fiji.
