Liverpool transfer news: Cryptic Nabil Fekir tweet leaves fans speculating
LIVERPOOL fans are scratching their heads over Nabil Fekir's whereabouts over the weekend.
The Lyon attacking midfielder is fully expected to join the Merseyside outfit in the coming weeks, despite club president Jean-Michel Aulas hoping to keep hold of the player until after the World Cup.
Reports emerged on Saturday that Fekir was expected in Liverpool for a medical in the coming days.
However, agent Jean-Pierre Bernes has since rubbished these claims.
But now France have left Liverpool fans with questions over Fekir's whereabouts over the weekend.
The national team's official Twitter account tweeted on Monday: "@NabilFekir has joined Clairefontaine for the rest of the preparation course. #FiersdetreBleus"

However, Fekir had already been taking part in France's World Cup preparations before the weekend and was in the squad for the friendly against Italy on Friday.
And now Liverpool fans are wondering where the 24-year-old was over the weekend to make the French team to tweet about his apparent return to the warm-up preparations.
One tweeted: "What does this tweet mean? Did he go somewhere and rejoined the French team again?"
While one questioned: "Back from Liverpool?"
And another said: "Where did he go in the first place?!"
Fekir is likely to join Fabinho and Naby Keita who have both already secured their moves to Liverpool this summer.
