Frank D. Martz Ellwood City Frank D. Martz, 62, of Rhode Island Ave., Ellwood City. passed away Friday, June 1, 2018. at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born January 26, 1956, in Hamburg, N.Y., he was the son of Thomas L. Martz of Ellwood City and the late Patti J. (Milliren) Martz. He was married to Dana (Pocza) Martz on February 16, 1980. Frank graduated from Lincoln High School in 1975 where he then went on to obtain an Accounting Degree from Geneva College in 1979. He started working at ESB Bank in 1973 as a stock boy and rose through the ranks upon his retirement in 2015 as the Group Sr. VP of Operations. Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing, walking his best friend, Dude, playing basketball, and mostly cherished times spent with friends and family. With his father and his wife, survivors also include a son, Tom (Jessica) Martz of N.C.; a sister, Terri (Rick) Weingartner of Ellwood City. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patti. Friends will be received on Wednesday June 6, 2018, from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church with Rev. Carolyn Moss officiating. The family also wishes to extend their appreciation to the doctors and staff of the CTICU-ward and UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
