Fred: Shakhtar Donetsk to Manchester United

Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred is expected to sign for Manchester United this week in a £52m deal, the BBC reports. 

The Brazilian played for his country in the 2-0 victory against Croatia at Anfield yesterday and is part of the Selecao’s 23-man squad for the World Cup in Russia.

According to Sky Sports the 25-year-old will undergo a medical at Old Trafford today and will become Jose Mourinho’s first signing of the summer transfer window. Mourinho will be delighted to secure the proposed transfer of Fred, who was also linked with a move to United’s rivals Manchester City in January.

But when asked about the move Fred revealed he does not know where he will end up. He told Brazilian newspaper Globo: “I’ll still talk to my agents to find out the reality of it. I’m going to talk to the people and meet my friends. I still do not know where I’m going.”  

Emre Can: Liverpool to Juventus

Another midfielder whose future is set to be confirmed is Liverpool’s Emre Can. The German, 24, has reportedly signed a four-year deal with Juventus and will have a medical later this week. Can’s contract at Liverpool is close to expiring and he will move to Juve on a free transfer. (Sky Sports) 

Bayern ‘keep tabs’ on Pickford

German giants Bayern Munich will scout Everton and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, 24, at the Fifa World Cup in Russia. Pickford is being lined up by Bayern as a potential replacement for Manuel Neuer, 32, who has suffered with injuries this past year. (The Sun)

One player who could move to Anfield is Lyon star Nabil Fekir, but a deal for the £60m-rated forward is not yet near completion. Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid have also been linked with the French international. (Liverpool Echo)
