LUDHIANA: All-India Ophthalmological Society’s academic and research committee, in association with the International Council of Ophthalmology and Ludhiana Ophthalmological Society, organized a conference of teachers in ophthalmology at the auditorium of
DMC College on Sunday.

Anil Chauhan and Dr SP Singh from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, threw open the conference. DMCH dean (academics) Dr
Rajoo Singh Chhina also attended the event. Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine and surgery that deals with the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eyeball and orbit.
Dr Priyanka Arora, an assistant professor of ophthalmology at DMCH, welcomed all the speakers and participating delegates. Dr
GS Bajwa, the head of ophthalmology at DMCH, said the field of ophthalmology was ever-changing and it was the need of the hour to conduct continuing medical education (CME) courses and conferences at regular intervals to update the knowledge of ophthalmologists.
Speakers at the event included: Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina, Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Dr Anju Grewal, Dr Hemlata, Dr Pooja Tandon, Dr Anu Sharma, Dr Ashvind Bawa, Dr Harpal Selhi and Dr Anil Chauhan The conference concluded with all delegates discussing the subject of using present-day technology in the best possible way.
