Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Sunday said that the farmers will never forgive those who threw their vegetables and milk on the roads.

Those who are misguiding the farmers into doing so are their biggest enemies, said the Chief Minister after interacting with youth on “Rozgar Prapt Yuvaon se Samvad” at Tagore Auditorium of Maharishi Dayanand University in Rohtak. Responding to the query about the nationwide strike by the farmers, he said those who tried to mislead the farmers would not be spared.

“Those who stop the farmers from bringing produce to the market and force them to throw them on the roads, would also be sternly dealt with”, he added.

The Chief Minister said that vegetables, fruits and milk were produced after tremendous hard work by the farmers. These self-proclaimed leaders are destroying their hard work by throwing the produce on the roads, said he.

The Haryana Government has implemented the Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme, irrigation schemes and electricity connection schemes for the welfare of farmers. Apart from this, we have paid the farmers highest compensation for their crops damaged due to natural calamities or disasters, added he.
