BHUBANESWAR: Under the aegis of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, Nalco CMD Tapan Kumar Chand flagged off a 3-km mini marathon from IDCO Exhibition Ground to Kalinga Stadium ahead of World Environment Day 2018 whose theme is ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’.

Hundreds of people including school students, senior citizens, employees of PSUs of Nalco, Indian Oil, MCL, NTPC and Power Grid Corporation of India participated in the event and pledged to curb the menace of plastic pollution. World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year and is the United Nation’s primary medium for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment.
