Mumbai: A 31-year-old anaesthetist with Tata Memorial Hospital committed suicide on Saturday.
Dr. Rupali Kalkundre was found lying unconscious in her hospital room in the afternoon. She was taken to the casualty but attempts to revive her failed.
“The case was handed over to the concerned police station and a case of suicide was registered and all formalities were followed. She was under treatment for depression for the past few years,” SH Jafri, head of the hospital’s public relations department, said in a statement.
Police said that she had taken an overdose of anaesthetic injections.
