Carina Heights man charged with attempted murder

A 26-year-old Carina Heights man has been charged with attempted murder over an incident at a Carina Heights property at the weekend.

Police alleged they were called to a house on Chataway Street after a disturbance on June 3 and found a woman in her 30s with "significant" injuries to her face and cuts to her hands.

Police arrested a man, who was known to the woman, at a nearby address.

The man fronted Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday, charged with one count of attempted murder, along with other charges.

He was remanded to reappear on July 2.
