EPIC GAMES
The development team are bringing back an old item that should make the island a little more unpredictable.
Epic Games have released a new Fortnite update teaser, including a little look at what will included in the patch notes.
A new content update is expected to be released this week, one which may not need any downtime.
And while Epic Games have not confirmed when the new patch might drop, they have revealed one item that will be included.
This would be the Bouncer, essentially the old Jump Pads that were removed from Battle Royale mode a few months ago.
Epic Games teased the returning item in a loading screen for the game, much like they did with the Jetpack and Shopping Carts.
“Place this pad for a big bounce boost – no fall damage,” the description for the new item reads.
The Bouncer has been shared with a “coming soon” label, and it’s almost certainly set to arrive this week.
The new item will be usable on floors, walls and roofs, and can also be used with a Shopping Carts.
So expect to see some daft YouTube videos being posted soon after it’s been released
The most likely days are either Tuesday or Thursday, with Epic Games usually confirming the release of a new update 12hrs before.
The new limited time Playgrounds mode could also be arriving sometime soon, and may even replace the Blitz Showdown this week.
As Epic recently explained, Playground v1 will launch with some adjusted settings for players looking to practice.
"Battle and build to your heart's content with an extended period of time to roam around the map as well as increased resource generation," reads an Epic blog post.
"All treasure chests and ammo crates will be spawned, try droppin’ in different spots and scope out the loot.
It's particularly useful for players wishing to improve their building skills, and anybody yet to try out rare gadgets and weapons.
The new Fortnite Week 6 Challenges will also be arriving this week, and will includes seven new tasks to complete.
The full list of Fortnite Week 6 Challenges can be found below:
Each week a new set of seven Battle Pass challenges are released by Epic Games. Fans need to complete any four of these challenges to be rewarded with 4,000 XP.
The challenges are separated into hard and regular tiers of difficulty.
The hard difficulty Fortnite challenges net players ten Battle Stars, while the regular tasks reward fans with five Battle Stars.
Unlocking Battle Stars levels up your Battle Pass, which is how you earn those sweet rewards.
