World Environment Day 2018
Imagine this- A world with fresh non-polluted air, rivers with clean and clear water and land without any buried plastic waste. Doesn’t it sound like a heaven? Well, one doesn’t have to do much to live in a heaven like that but to just care about the environment he is surrounded with. To spread this awareness of a sustainable life, June 5 is dedicated as the World Environment Day every year since 1972 by the United Nation.
It has become difficult in recent years for mankind and nature to co-exist because we have given it pollution and global warming. Alarmed by the rising levels of plastic in both sea and on land, UN has declared 2018 to be focused on the theme of ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’. Since the announcement on Monday, many Bollywood celebrities, as well as general public, have tried their best o bring about a change by switching to glass or metal bottles to lower the consumption of plastic.
India has been declared the global host for the World Environment Day 2018 and Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Dr. Harsh Vardhan reveals that Indian philosophy and lifestyle has always been rooted in the concept of co-existing and he assures that India will be committed to make Planet Earth a cleaner and greener place.
While the government is taking measures for the same, we bring to do everything that is making headlines on the social media-
