Heroes of the Storm’s next big expansion is celebrating World of Warcraft in a big way.
Yrel will be the new HOTS hero to make her debut in the Nexus, with the Echoes of Alterac the game’s next event.
The Alterac experience includes a new Battlegrounds to enjoy, with the Alterac Pass becoming the first ever Warcraft battleground to feature.
Another massive revealed made today was that Yrel, the Paladin hotshot from the Warlords of Draenor expansion will be the newest hero.
Yrel will be playable from the week of June 12 and currently has two confirmed skins.
“In the hour of the Alliance’s greatest need, a Hero of legend manifests to save them. Yrel, Light of Hope, is a deliberate Warrior with heavyweight abilities that reward patience and timing,” Blizzard confirms.
You can find out more about her abilities below:
PRIMARY ABILITIES
VINDICATION: Unleash holy energy around Yrel, dealing 38 damage to nearby enemies and healing her for 96. Charging up this Ability increases its damage up to 125, and healing up to 320.
RIGHTEOUS HAMMER: Swing Yrel's hammer, dealing 38 damage to enemies in front of her and knocking them away. Charging up this Ability increases its knockback distance, and damage up to 125. Enemies hit at maximum charge are Stunned for 0.75 seconds.
AVENGING WRATH: Leap to a location, dealing 150 damage to enemies in an area and Slowing them by 50% for 1 second. Charging up this Ability increases its range.
HEROIC ABILITIES
ARDENT DEFENDER: Surround Yrel in a barrier for 3 seconds, absorbing all damage taken and healing her for 50% of the damage received.
SACRED GROUND: Yrel sanctifies the ground around her, gaining 40 Armor until she leaves the area.
The Echoes of Alterac expansion will also require players to choose whether to back the Alliance or Horde, during the new event.
Picking a side in the battle for Alterac Pass will also earn players special rewards depending on their selection.
However, fans will have to choose carefully - once you pick a side, the other questline will become inaccessible.
The good news is that all Quest rewards will become available in basic Loot Chests next summer.
