Leeds United transfer news: Pontus Jansson calls on club to prove ambition

And Jansson, under contract at the club until 2022, admits he is waiting to see how Leeds act in the market before deciding on his future.

“There is interest,” he told Swedish media at their World Cup press day.

“All I know is that I’m going to stay in England.

“It will be a lot for me to leave England. I really enjoy Leeds.

“But I want to see their ambitions, now is the time to get into the Premier League.”

Leeds are closing in on a deal to appoint ex-Lille manager Marcelo Bielsa as their new boss.

The club sacked Paul Heckingbottom last week.
