Sri Lanka is more willing to lure Chinese visitors in the coming days

The talks were exchanged at the time of the Minister’s visit to Shanghai to endorse the tourism of Sri Lanka at the Shanghai World Travel Fair, the Tourism Ministry explained in a recent statement.

All across the main cities in China, a sequence of promotional events and meetings were conducted during the course of the past week, as per the statement.

Lately, China has developed as one of the famous markets for Sri Lanka’s tourism in recent times, with Colombo targeting a minimum 1 million Chinese tourists per year by 2020.
As per Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, almost 100,000 Chinese tourists have visited Sri Lanka till April 2018, which makes China among the three top source countries of international tourists to the island country.
