A man was stabbed in the neck during a fight Sunday afternoon at a north DeLand laundromat, police said.

The 9-1-1 caller reported at 1:29 p.m. that a couple males were fighting and one was stabbed, a supervisor with the Sheriff's Office Communications Center said.

DeLand police spokesman Chris Graham said the victim, stabbed after a dispute in the laundromat's parking lot, was in critical condition when he was taken to the hospital.

Police investigators said the victim suffered life-threatening injuries.

The stabbing suspect is in custody and was taken to the DeLand Police Department to be interviewed, authorities said.

One suspect is in custody after a dispute ended in a stabbing at a laundromat in North DeLand.

DeLand Police detectives are on scene and the investigation is ongoing, Graham said.
