VADODARA : The training camp of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) workers from the western parts of the country culminated here on Saturday. Sanghchalak of the west zone of the
RSS Jayanti Bhadesiya called upon volunteers to face those trying to divide the society.
Addressing the valedictory function at the
Ayyapa Temple ground, Bhadesiya said that the ‘swayamsevaks’ needed to take the lead in the society and face elements trying to divide it. He said that those who attended the camp had tried to gain experience of the work of the RSS. Executive director of J B Chemicals Kamlesh Udani was the chief guest on the occasion.
Former deputy inspector general (DIG) of the
Gujarat police D G Vanzara was also present at the valedictory function and was spotted in the audience. Vanzara has been mired in controversies regarding police encounters in the state.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat too visited the city to remain present at the camp for three days till Friday. He arrived in the city in the early hours on Wednesday for the visit.
In all, 402 volunteers from Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa are attended the Sanghshikha Varg. These included 174 students and 228 professionals or businessmen.
