New Smyrna Beach Library book sale
The Friends of the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library will host a public book sale from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 7, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 8, at 1001 Dixie Highway. Members of the Friends of the Library may attend an early sale from 3:30 to 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 6. Attendees may join for a $10 yearly fee. For information, call 386-424-2913.

Neil Diamond tribute

Pet shots
The SPCA will host a pet shot clinic from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Ormond Beach Police Department, 170 Granada Blvd. All vaccinations are administered by a licensed vet and the clinic is licensed and permitted. Cash only for shots. For information, call 386-748-8993.
Guardian Advocacy workshop
Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida (CLSMF) has partnered with the City of Ormond Beach will offer a workshop providing advice to guardians of disabled children who are turning 18 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, June 7, in Conference Room 103 in City Hall located at 22 S. Beach St. Conference Room 103 is located just before the elevator on the first floor when entering City Hall from the breezeway between the Library and City Hall. The workshop will be presented by a pro bono attorney. After the presentation, there will be a generic question and answer session.For information, call 386-676-3315.

NSB library hosts blood drive
OneBlood’s Big Red Bus will be available for blood donations from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, June 8, in the parking lot of the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are strongly encouraged. Appointments can be made by visiting oneblood.org and clicking on “where to donate.” OneBlood is a not-for-profit organization responsible for providing blood to 213 hospital partners and their patients in most of central and south Florida and the panhandle.
