Panjab University to hold MPhil, PhD entrance test on July 1

CHANDIGARH: The online entrance test forms to enrol into the MPhil and PhD at Panjab University departments are available on PU website and the last date to submit information is June 20. The MPhil and PhD entrance test for admissions in faculties of arts, business management and commerce, design and fine arts, education, engineering, languages and law and science will be held on July 1 The last date to deposit fee in any branch of State Bank of India using website generated challan is June 22 up to 4pm. The last date for uploading of photographs and signature with rest of the information on the website is June 24. The admit card along with time and centre of examination will be available online on June 27 and can be accessed on the website by the candidate using his/her own login ID and password provided while generating bank challan. The centre will be in Chandigarh only. The results of the entrance test will be declared on August 13.

From this session, the validity of the entrance test has been increased to two years. On qualifying the entrance test, the candidate can enrol himself/herself for PhD within two years from the date of declaration of the result. However, the validity of PhD entrance test is three years for those who have done MPhil. The objective type paper I will be held on July 1 from 10am to 11.30am and paper-II (subjective) from 11:30am to 1:30pm.
