Britain’s Got Talent final 2018: Declan Donnelly SCOLDS David Walliams ‘Shut up!’

The Britain’s Got Talent finale began in flamboyant fashion as Dec arrived with an impressive dance routine.

But after he’d opened the show and turned to the judges, he was involved in a shock spat.

Dec began to walk up to David, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden when David began to make a comment.

But the presenter was quick to shut him down.

Dec exclaimed: “Shut up, or I won’t talk to you.”

It was clear the moment was in jest between them, but nonetheless David kept it buttoned.

Those watching at home spotted the moment which was met with a mixed reaction.

“Did Dec just burn @davidwalliams on #BGT,” one questioned.

While another stated: “Dec's already told David to 'shut up'. Not great. No wonder some of the youth of today are so rude to each other. #BGT #BritainsGotTalent.”

A third complimented: “SHUT UP @davidwalliams show no good without Ant or Dec either one can hold their own and fantastic together- always try to get a dig in #BGT @SimonCowell @AmandaHolden @AleshaOfficial @StephenMulhern.”

The full list of contestants in the final includes: B-Positive Choir, Lost Voice Guy, D-Day Darlings, Donchez Dacres, Calum Courtney, Gruffudd Wyn Roberts, Robert White, Tim and Jack Goodacre, DVJ, Giang Brothers and Micky P Kerr.

The winner will receive a slot in the Royal Variety Performance line-up, £250,000 and a special “surprise” as promised by Simon.

He made a big reveal earlier this week when he said there would be a treat in store for the winner.

He said: “I… they don’t know, not even the producers know.

“I’ve got a surprise for the winner at the end of this series.”

Shocked, Dec gushed: “Amazing!”

Simon continued: “Not even ITV know!”

Dec chuckled: “We will look forward to that!”

Simon then added: “A big, big surprise!”

Britain’s Got Talent concludes tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
