Man in hospital, man on run after road rage attack in Gladstone Park
A man is in hospital and another on the run after a road rage attack in Melbourne's north on Saturday night.
Victoria Police said they believed a two car collision on Windermere Crescent, Gladstone Park, just before 9.30pm led one of the drivers to assault the other.
The alleged offending driver left the scene before police arrived while the injured man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are investigating.
Earlier in the week up to six men allegedly attacked a truck driver, smashing his windows with a metal pole and pulling him from his vehicle, in a violent road rage incident that started on the Bolte Bridge and ended in Port Melbourne.
Road rage assaults have jumped by 60 per cent across Victoria in the past four years, growing from 210 to 380 reported cases, according to Crime Statistics Agency data.
