Fifteen teams head into their NCAA Tournament regional finals Sunday night and Monday needing one win to clinch berths in the super regionals next week.
Meanwhile, No. 15 Coastal Carolina became the second national seed knocked out when it lost 6-5 to UConn in an afternoon elimination game. The first team to go was No. 7 Florida State on Saturday.
These national seeds were one win from advancing to best-of-three super regionals: No. 1 Florida, No. 3 Oregon State, No. 5 Arkansas, No. 6 North Carolina, No. 8 Georgia, No. 9 Texas Tech, No. 11 Stetson, No. 13 Texas and No. 14 Minnesota. Also needing one more win were No. 2 regional seeds Auburn, Vanderbilt and South Carolina and No. 3 regional seeds Washington, Oklahoma and Cal State Fullerton.
Georgia's regional in Athens is behind schedule because of rain, and the Bulldogs' regional final was pushed back to Monday.
Any of the 13 teams that lose would play a second regional final against the same opponent.
These national seeds must win twice in their regional finals to advance: No. 2 Stanford, No. 10 Clemson and No. 16 North Carolina State.
No. 2 regional seed UConn held off Coastal Carolina to reach a final against Washington. Washington is one of the surprises of the tournament after beating UConn on Friday and Coastal Carolina on Saturday.
The Chanticleers had a chance to take the lead in the ninth when Cory Wood singled, but Seth Lancaster' deep drive to right was caught.
"There were so many times today and yesterday we could have rolled over and died," Coastal Carolina coach Gary Gilmore said. "We had two of our three best guys with a shot in the ninth inning to change the outcome of the game. We put a wall-scraper out there — just the wrong side of the wall."
