Kathryn "Kay" Bonzo, 81, of New Sewickley Township, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 1, 2018. She was born April 5, 1937, in Economy Township, Pa., daughter of the late Robert and Pearl (Cline) Rinard. She was a faithful member of the Marion Hill Christian and Missionary Alliance Church where she served as Sunday school teacher, Sunday School Superintendent and a member of the Choir. She married the love of her life, Gayle O. Bonzo on September 11, 1954. Together they owned and operated Valley View Farm. Family was always her top priority. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with an unconditional love. She was their biggest encourager in any endeavor. Kay's most important legacy was her love for her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ; and her unwavering commitment to Him. She attended church regularly and raised her family in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Her home was filled with the Biblical based teachings and constantly taught her children and grandchildren the principles of God's love, goodness and mercy; and the importance of following Jesus in Salvation. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Rinard and her sister, Marceline Rinard West. Kay is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Gayle O. Bonzo; one son, Kevin Bonzo and his partner Brian Heilman, York, Pa.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen (Gary) Hockenberry, and Kimberly (Dean) Mayhue; four grandchildren, Katelyn (Steven) Adams, Kurt (Britany) Hockenberry, Kameron Mayhue, and Kaleb Mayhue; and three great-grandchildren, Gracelyn, Clayton and Christian Hockenberry, everyone of New Sewickley Township. Friends will be received Tuesday, June 5, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Additional visitation will be Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Marion Hill Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 4607 Rochester Road, New Brighton, PA 15066, where her service will begin at 11 a.m., with the Rev.
