All Blacks winger Rieko Ioane has been treated for a cut above his eye after "antics" with a Blues team-mate after their defeat to the Rebels.
The Blues confirmed the incident which happened after their 20-10 loss in Auckland on Saturday night.
"Antics at a private get-together after the game last night has led to Rieko Ioane being treated for a small cut above his eye," the Blues statement said.
Winger Rieko Ioane is in the news less than a week out from the All Blacks test against France in Auckland.
"Some high-jinks between Ioane and another player at the small gathering at a private residence, resulted in the Blues winger receiving a knock above his eye which was treated with medical glue at a local A&E clinic."
Ioane said: "We were just poking fun at each other. It's not serious and I've apologised to my teammates and the club."
Blues chief executive Michael Redman said they will check on the incident this week to determine if there were any breaches of team protocol.
It is the second off-field drama to hit the All Blacks as they assemble in Auckland for Saturday's first test against France.
