Medical reports to be obtained from foreign employees arriving in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Ministry of Health has decided to launch a program which requires medical certificates to be produced for foreigners seeking employment in Sri Lanka.
According to The Director General of Health Services, Consultant Dr. Anil Jasinghe, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The agreement states that it is essential that all institutions involved in bringing foreign employees into the country, produce medical certificates for each foreigner.
Dr. Anil Jasinghe noted that more measures will be implemented in the future to prevent the spreading of various diseases from foreign countries into Sri Lanka.
