A 48-year-old German man was seriously hurt on Sunday afternoon after he was hit by a motorist at Malta International Airport.
The man was on the airport ring road at around 12.30pm when he was hit by a Mercedes being driven by a 57-year-old man from Qormi, police said.
An ambulance took the victim to Mater Dei Hospital, where he is being treated.
Magistrate Charmaine Galea is leading an inquiry into the case, which police are investigating.
