Bengaluru: Two brothers electrocuted while working in coconut farm

BENGALURU: Two brothers were electrocuted while they were working in their coconut farm in Dasenahalli village in the outskirts of Bengaluru on Sunday afternoon after an overhead electrical wire snapped and fell on them.
The incident led to a massive protest at BESCOM office in the area.

Soladevanahalli police said Muniraju H (21) and Ravi Kumar H (18) both were residents of Dasenahalli and sons of farmer Hanumanathaiah.

The youths were cutting grass in their farm when a frond from one of the coconut palms fell on the electrical wires passing over their farm. The wire snapped. Kumar came to contact with the live wire, even as his brother rushed to save him. The duo were electrocuted an died instantly.
