Mission Impossible Fallout stills: Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill face-off in the action-drama

Mission: Impossible - Fallout is the sixth iteration of the spy action Mission: Impossible franchise. Tom Cruise returns to portray his iconic character Ethan Hunt, and is joined by several actors, new and old. Apart from Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin, and Sean Harris, who are reprising roles from previous films, Fallout introduces Henry Cavill, Wes Bentley, Vanessa Kirby, Sian Brooke, and Angela Bassett. This is the film due to which Henry Cavill could not shave his mustache and it had to be digitally removed in Justice League. Expect the same blistering action, stunts and visual effects that we have come to expect from the series.

Ethan Hunt and August Walker (Cavill's character) view the world differently. They see each other as a threat. Walker thinks Hunt's methods are dangerous and the world will be better off without him. Walker is tasked to kill Ethan should he go rogue again. While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Cavill described his character as CIA's "weapon of last resort". “He is a blunt force trauma type attack," he said. "He kills everyone in the room and there are no questions or answers, there are no witnesses, there are no questions asked, and the job is done.”

The oldtimers. Mission: Impossible series has grossed over 2.7 billion dollars for the studio, Paramount. It is based on the CBS TV series of the 1960s and 70s.

Tom Cruise, 55, has done many of the stunts himself. In a stunt, he shattered his ankle and was back to the set within nine weeks.

Henry Cavill's August Walker has been described as a hammer to Ethan Hunt's scalpel. They can be seen engaging in hand-to-hand combat in the trailer and that face-off would be something to look forward to.

Vanessa Kirby, known for playing Princess Margaret in Netflix's The Crown, is playing one of the members of the team.
