Reaffirming his faith in superstition of NOIDA jinx, the Samajwadi party chief Akhilesh Yadav said the BJP lost the four by elections in Uttar Pradesh only due to the visit to NOIDA by the chief minister Yogi Adityanath.  During his tenure as chief minister Akhiliesh Yadav never visited NOIDA for fear of a jinx that he would lose the power. In August 2013 he inaugurated the Agra-NOIDA expressway through a remote from Lucknow.

I had suggested to the chief minister Yogi Adityanath to not to visit NOIDA as it’s a jinxed place but he ignored my suggestion. The consequences are before you. The BJP lost the by polls to three Lok Sabha seats and one assembly seat’’, said Akhilesh Yadav while addressing the students of a local schools here on Saturday. SP president also made a sarcastic comment on the test tube Sita comment by the deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma.

Without naming the chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the SP president said `` chief minister went to NOIDA to earn some political brownie points but he turned out to be a loser’’. He said the people of UP have seen through the game of the BJP   and they gave a befitting reply to the ruling party in Gorakhpur, Phulpur, Kairana and Nurpur.

Akhilesh Yadav defended the undue preference given to the development of his home town Sefai in Etwah district.   ``for a politician there can be nothing more disastrous then to ignore his/her constituency and home town’’, said the SP president.

Lashing out at the chief minister Yogi Adityanath for failing to honour the election manifesto promise of distributing  free laptop to students  SP chief said `` My government had distributed 15 Lakh free laptops to  students across the state, the present BJP government has abysmally failed to honour the promise’’.
