Letter to the Editor: BCC student's story provides hope that we can embrace differences

The article describing Shiv Kumar Thakur’s remarkable journey of success and positive contribution to our society was so inspiring.

It provides hope in a current climate of negativity toward and suspicion of those from a different country or culture. This is what we should be striving toward as a society: inclusion and a welcoming attitude toward the “other."

There is so much we can learn from and understand about each other by embracing our differences instead of fearing them.
