Telangana to mark fourth State formation day today

| | Hyderabad

The stage is set for the grand celebration of the 4th State formation day of Telangana with the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao taking salute at a ceremonial parade on the Secunderabad Parade Grounds on Saturday.

Telangana was formed on June 2, 2014 following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. While the official celebrations in Hyderabad will highlight various achievements during last four years and the Chief Minister will also announce a slew of new welfare measures for various sections of society, in Andhra Pradesh the day will be marked as “Nava Nirmana Deeksha” for the reconstruction of the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh.

While the mood was upbeat in Telangana with the State doing well both on the development and the welfare fronts and economy on an upswing, Andhra Pradesh continues to face the teething problems on several fronts including the construction of the new capital.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will start a weeklong programme from Saturday and participate in various programmes in different districts to expose the BJP’s betrayal of the State. At an official programme the Chief Minister will administer an oath to the people to dedicate themselves for the reconstruction of the State and develop Andhra Pradesh into one of the top States in the country.
