New accommodation for cancer patients, relatives

Cancer patients at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Parel and the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research, and Education in Kharghar will soon be provided affordable accommodation. A new building, Asha Nivas, with 260 rooms, dining and laundry rooms, library and prayer room will be built on the Kharghar campus by Bengaluru’s Infosys Foundation within two years.

On Friday, Sudha Murthy, chairperson, Infosys Foundation, and Dr. Sekhar Basu, chairman, Atomic Energy Commission & Secretary Department of Atomic Energy, participated in the bhoomi pujan for the new building.
