Sit and be fit at the Lake Helen library
Adults can take part in a free exercise program at the Lake Helen Public Library, 221 N. Euclid Ave. Library employee Charles Schwab will lead “Sit and Be Fit" 1 p.m. Wednesdays, June 6 and 13. Port Orange Baseball Club 12U Panthers host fundraiser
The Port Orange Baseball Club Panthers will host a fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, to Tuesday, July 3, at Houligan's, 1396 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange. Diners are invited to tell their server that they support the 12U Panthers so that 10% of their bill will be donated to the team. Local author to discuss religious history
Author William Lazarus will discuss research into religious history at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at DeBary Hall Historic Site, 198 Sunrise Blvd., DeBary. Lazarus co-wrote the book “Comparative Religion for Dummies” and authored books about racing and American culture. He has also written for daily newspapers, magazines and NASCAR.
