The author, who is attached as executive producer to the supernatural spy series on Starz, is exiting from the project due to creative differences, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Also, Stephen Garrett, who was originally set to serve as showrunner, has been replaced by Lisa Zwerling and Karyn Usher.
Garrett, however, will continue to serve as an executive producer on "The Rook".
The series, based on Daniel O'Malley's novel of the same name, is currently shooting its first two episodes in London.
The show is slated to air next year.
