Transfer news live updates

Emery's transfer demands

Arsenal boss Unai Emery is desperate to complete three transfers this summer.

According to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Emery has told Emirates transfer chiefs to sign Villarreal winger Samu Castillejo, Asier Illarramendi of Real Sociedad and Getafe defender Djene.

Don Balon add that Emery knows he doesn’t have cash to spend this summer, forcing him to scout well and sign players under the radar.

Emery will have around £70m to spend, with Arsenal adding £20m to the transfer budget.

Butland to replace Courtois

Chelsea could move for Jack Butland if Thibaut Courtois leaves this summer.

Real Madrid are long-term admirers of the Belgium international, while Liverpool are also said to be tracking the 26-year-old.

And according to the Daily Mail, Chelsea will look to sign Stoke star Butland if Courtois quits Stamford Bridge.

They say Chelsea are preparing for a mammoth offer from Real for Courtois this summer.

The Mail add that Stoke want at least £30m for Butland, 25, with the Championship club reluctant to sell the England international.

Salah to Real Madrid off?

Mohamed Salah could reportedly snub a move to Real Madrid this summer.

Salah, 25, has been tipped to quit Anfield - despite only joining the Reds last summer - in favour of a mammoth move to the Bernabeu.

However, according to Spanish news outlet Diario Gol, Salah has decided to stay at Liverpool.

They say the winger has no interest in heading to Real after Zinedine Zidane’s shock decision to leave the Bernabeu on Thursday.

The Frenchman quit the Bernabeu after two-and-a-half years in Madrid, where he won the Champions League in three consecutive seasons.

Transfer news: Nabil Fekir has told Lyon he wants to join Liverpool

Fekir tells Lyon he wants to join Liverpool

Nabil Fekir has told Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas he wants to join Liverpool.

But Aulas is refusing to sell his man before the World Cup - because he thinks his value could rise in Russia.

The France international is valued at around £50million but Aulas believes that value could sky rocket.

Liverpool want to do their deals as early as possible and already have two key additions in the bag. Naby Keita will join the club from RB Leipzig on July 1 while they last week wrapped up a deal for Fabinho.

While Lyon are keen to wait to see how it develops, Liverpool plan to up their efforts to bring Fekir to Anfield in the next 10 days.

West Ham and Tottenham want Grealish

West Ham are plotting an audacious move for Aston Villa star Jack Grealish.

The Hammers have held preliminary talks with Villa but have been initially put off by the £40million price-tag.

Tottenham are keen but they too don't want to stump up the huge fee that Villa, who lost in the Championship play-off final, are looking for.

But both clubs are watching the situation closely and they will reopen talks with Villa if they drop their lofty demands.

Man Utd at war over transfers

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is at war with Ed Woodward over a deal for Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale, it has been claimed in Spain.

Spanish website Univision claim Mourinho does not actually want the Wales international.

United’s attack options are well-stocked - for the time being.

The Red Devils ruled out signing any other attackers following Alexis Sanchez’s arrival from Arsenal in January.

But Woodward, it has been claimed, is hellbent on luring Bale to Old Trafford

'Alexis Sanchez situation at Chelsea'

Chelsea have been left in an 'Alexis Sanchez situation' by Thibaut Courtois, according to Sky Sports expert Michael Bridge.

Courtois, 26, has just a year left on his current contract and talks over a new deal have broken down.

It now means Chelsea are likely to sell the Belgium international to avoid him leaving the club for nothing.

In January, Manchester United swooped to lure Sanchez away from Arsenal after he refused to put pen to paper on a new contract - and Bridge thinks the two situations are the same.

He told the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast: "It's very similar to the Alexis Sanchez situation at Arsenal. When you've got a year left on your contract the club loses the power.

"Clearly Courtois loves Madrid, misses Madrid and we understand Chelsea aren't very hopeful of renegotiating with Courtois."
